About Us

A family owned business established in 1959 Sutton Wharf Boatyard is a commercial and pleasure run boatyard based on the river Roach at Rochford in Essex.

We have a 10-acre site for hard standing of boats and electric and water points are situated throughout the yard. We can haul out up to 80ft vessels with a weight limit of 50 tons on our slipway and up to 35 tons on our Wise travel hoist.

We have berths alongside for up to 150ft with a maximum draft of 8ft. We also have pontoon berths for boats up to 40ft and swinging moorings are also available.

Sutton Wharf Boatyard has 24hr security and cctv installed. Our yard is DIY friendly we are more than willing to source tradesmen for your requirements.

We are situated on an industrial estate a short distance from Southend airport and other businesses that cater for boating requirements are close by. There is a cafe that will deliver to our yard and we have an upholstery / canopy company within in our yard
